Environmental protection is crucial to our sustainable business model. We always strive to make the business of TITAN Cementara Kosjerić as efficient as possible and ensure continuous improvement in areas such as water and energy use, biodiversity conservation, waste management and emissions abatement. With all our activities that we are carrying out continuously, we strive to be recognised as one of the leading companies in terms of sustainability and environmental stewardship.
TITAN Cementara Kosjerić was the first company in Serbia to be issued an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Permit by the competent Ministry, back in 2011. By obtaining a new Integrated Permit, in 2018, we confirmed that environmental protection is one of our business priorities.
At TCK, we have also established an Environmental Management System, in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001, which sets criteria for efficient environmental management. This system, which has been certified by an independent accredited body since 2010, includes all environmental protection measures related to cement production and the operation of our quarries.
We are always looking for ways to reduce the potential negative impact of our activities on the environment. In that sense, we invest in most modern technologies for our constant improvement, and at the same time we ensure full compliance with all legal regulations, as well as our voluntary obligations related to the environmental protection.
