ABOUT US

Our History

The Assembly of the Municipality of Kosjerić and the Institute “Kirilo Savić”, in charge of the design of the plant, decided together on the location for the new cement factory in the vicinity of Kosjerić in 1970. The construction site was formally opened on September 25, 1971. Production started in 1976 and during the first year it amounted to close to 250,000 tons of cement, only to grow to more than 400,000 tons per year during the eighties.

In April 2002, Cementara became part of TITAN Group, the international cement and building materials producer. Since the privatization process was completed, almost EUR 70 million has been invested in improvements related to environmental protection, workplace safety, increasing capacities and optimizing production processes.

With the plant’s capacities, producing 750,000 tons of cement per year, TITAN Cementara Kosjerić supplies substantial portions of markets of Serbia and Montenegro.
