Biodiversity is an important prerequisite for sustainable development and, as such, it is yet another priority for us.
We have conducted comprehensive environmental impact assessment studies and rehabilitation plans, covering all aspects of the development and operation of our quarries. All activities for the purpose of quarries rehabilitation and biodiversity management at these sites are in line with the GCCA Sustainability Guidelines for Quarry Rehabilitation and Biodiversity Management.
Production activities of TITAN Cementara Kosjerić, as well as of quarries Suvo vrelo and Galovići, are not performed at locations in protected areas, nor in areas of particular importance to nature preservation and enhancement. Nevertheless, faithful to our long-standing commitment to responsible and sustainable corporate practices, we apply the international tools and guidelines of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) for biodiversity management.
