At the beginning of December 2022, TITAN Cementara Kosjerić welcomed first- and third-year students from the “Radoje Ljubičić” Technical School from Užice. Representatives of this educational institution, 54 students and 4 teachers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the process of cement production in our plant.

At the beginning of the tour, historical review, corporate values as well as corporate social responsibility practices of Cementara were presented to the students and teachers by Danka Jovanović and Magdalena Miletto. Then, Pavle Ljubičić, Health and Safety engineer, introduced the basic safety regulations of the company to the guests. After a short refreshment break and the distribution of personal protective equipment, a tour of the production facility was organized, with the professional guidance of colleagues working in production, Danilo Savić and Katarina Filipović, who explained the process of cement production in more detail. The students also visited the command centre, where they could see how the production process is managed.

This was an opportunity for students to test and increase their theoretical knowledge acquired in school about the production and use of cement, and to clarify many issues related to this area by asking inspiring and interesting questions.

As TITAN Cementara Kosjerić has an open internship programme throughout the year, some students showed an interest in attending these programs in the future. While talking with the teachers and the employees in TCK, we concluded that the visit to our plant was very useful for the students and that we can expect the next generation of Technical School’s students from Užice next year.
