In the “Sreska bašta” sports hall in Kosjerić, TITAN Cementara Kosjerić organized a ceremony of granting annual donations to six sports clubs from Kosjerić. These donations continue the example of the many years of good practice and responsible business of Kosjerić’s cement plant in relation to giving support to the local community.

The programs and investments of TITAN Cementara Kosjerić are directed at establishing the high-quality education, promoting cultural and artistic life, improving health care and advocating a healthy lifestyle – and a part of this support definitely goes towards the development of sports.

“For years, TITAN Cementara Kosjerić has been helping the development of sports in our town. This year we will support the work of local sports clubs through financial aid of over 40 thousand Euros so that the total amount of our investments in the development of sports in Kosjerić since 2002 will reach almost 800,000 Euros”, Miroslav Gligorijević, General Manager of TITAN Cementare Kosjerić, pointed out.

After the official granting of the funds to the local sports clubs from Kosjerić, Vladimir Vanja Grbić, famous volleyball champion, member of the Hall of Fame and Special Olympics Ambassador, gave a motivational lecture to more than 400 guests about the meaning of the team and how to become a champion.

“As a sportsman, I know how important it is for the process and work not to suffer in achieving top results. Without sponsors and socially responsible companies, it would be impossible. Those are the very reasons why I also support such companies”, said Vladimir Vanja Grbić, Professor and future PhD of sports and physical education.

As a model to other companies for investing in the environment in which they operate through socially responsible business, TCK supports the development of the local community through financial funds, various initiatives of general social importance, and volunteering activities, which include its employees.
