The best practices of the business sector for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
The awarding ceremony for the companies that have integrated the Sustainable Development Goals into their business was held in the hotel Metropol Palace in Belgrade, as part of the conference CSR & ESG Forum, as an annual event of the Responsible Business Forum.
This year, the “Champions of Sustainability” award was presented for the second time. The purpose of this award is to highlight the projects that directly contribute to the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Agenda. Awards for outstanding contribution to various sub-goals of the 2030 Agenda were given to numerous companies, TITAN Cementara Kosjerić being among them, for the project: “Integrated Annual Report 2021”.
“This is already the second consecutive year that the Forum highlights successful business projects that contribute to the fulfilment of the 2030 Agenda. Through awarding recognition, we want to further motivate these companies to continue with this practice, but also to encourage others to start thinking about it”, said Neven Marinović, on behalf of the Responsible Business Forum.
The promotion of the “Champions of Sustainability” award was organized during the SDG session of the conference, included in the “SDGs for All” platform, supported by the governments of Switzerland and Germany, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, within the project “Public Finance Reform ‒ 2030 Agenda”. The awards were presented as part of the conference CSR & ESG Forum, organized by the Responsible Business Forum and Smart kolektiv, in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
TITAN Cementara Kosjerić was awarded “Champions of Sustainability” for its 12th consecutive Annual Integrated Report 2021, which presented the most important results of business operations, both the financial and the non-financial indicators in the area of social performance, environmental protection and corporate governance. The report was prepared in accordance with the international reporting standards, and it was verified by independent auditors from Grant Thornton Serbia, for Advanced Level, in accordance with the criteria for Communication on Progress of the United Nations Global Compact.
