Our colleagues from TITAN’s plant in Thessaloniki (Efkarpia) hosted media representatives from Serbia and demonstrated how the implementation of alternative fuels and the co-processing process works in practice – as a concrete step towards reducing CO₂ emissions and the decarbonization of the cement industry.

The visit provided insight into how the TITAN Group has been developing the industry for more than a century in accordance with the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability, with a strong focus on the circular economy and responsible resource management. The Efkarpia plant represents an example of best practice in production, with increased use of alternative fuels derived from waste and continuous improvement of energy efficiency.

The visit was organized by the Association of Serbian Energy-Intensive Industry (ASEII) and included an open dialogue on green innovations, the industry’s future steps, and shared responsibility for sustainable development.
